Yolanda has dual citizenship (Costa Rican and USA). She has 17 years experience in management. For the past two years she has become founder and president of EKM ENFOQUE EMPRESARIAL S.A., dedicated to companies with the organizational and leadership skills require to improve processes, mainly in the development of their Human Capital.

In the beginning of her businees career, she worked with Grupo Zeta, a Free Zone developer. She had a key role in the , organization and execution of marketing & sales plans for the Grupo Zeta Free Zone Industrial Parks, located in Cartago, Alajuela and Heredia, in Costa Rica.

She also worked for multinational companies, such as J.P Nina and N&B Jewelry, as General Manager of both companies dedicated to manufacturing jewelry. Later in her career, she worked for and international academic organization dedicated to biological and environmental research of the tropics. In this case, her role was to develop commercial strategies to provide the institution with new funds in order to support the academic programs. She was involved also in tourism, as the Administrative Director of a tour operator.

Yolanda obtained her MBA in Marketing at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She is fluent in Spanish and English. Her strengths are strategy/planning, analysis, negotiation, training and personal development.
